To make onion oil at home is very simple, easy, and inexpensive.  Depending upon the quantity of onion oil you want, pick your ingredients accordingly. Let’s get started.

·         Start picking up fresh onions.

·         Coconut or sesame oil

Chop the onions and grind them in a fine paste. Then take a heavy bottom pan and heat it on a low flame. Add coconut or sesame oil, then add the onion paste and mix it well for 1-2 minutes. Let it cool down. Later with the help of a strainer or fine muslin cloth, extract the oil from the paste. Store it in a non-metallic container. Your onion hair oil is ready to use, and you can store it for six months.

How to use onion oil?

You can use onion hair oil like any other regular hair oil. There are two methods to use onion oil,

i) Heating Treatment, and

ii) Without Heating Treatment.

For heating treatment, mix onion oil with other hair oil like almond or olive oil. Slightly heat the oil and massage onto your scalp and the lengths of the hair. Keep it overnight and wash it off in the morning.

And for non-heating treatment, take pure onion oil in your palms and gently massage it on your scalp and hair length for 15-20 minutes. Leave the hair oil for 2-3 hours, and then wash it off.
