@LorcaThe Magic of Sunset
You'll think you're
having a dream. The orange with a pale tint alters the
tonality of the blue sea. The natural light and color spectacle that precedes
the darkness begins. You thought you were going to enjoy the sunset from the mountains,
sitting on a dune, but this is pure magic.
For all the hopeless
romantics out there: I am a Libran who loves beauty, harmony, and peace, and I
am a hopeless romantic who falls in love deeply.
Sunset is a natural
wonder, and when our eyes are drawn to the sun's warm colors, we are
transported to another world. It takes your breath away, leaves you speechless,
and, if only for a moment, slows time. In that moment, you feel love and
gratitude for Mother Nature.
A sunset holds the
promise of a new day. The last rays of the sun peeking out from the horizon
bring with them the realisation that tomorrow holds limitless possibilities.
You know it won't last, but you savour every last drop of its illusionary
beauty.
Life is full of ups and
downs. We are stressed and frustrated at times, but just as the sunset
signifies a new day, we all hope for a fresh start and a new life whenever we
face a difficult situation in our lives.
Do you ever feel trapped
in your life because you are overburdened with something? Do the days seem
to stretch on forever, as if you'll never get through them all?
I used to feel like that
when the COVID started, super stressed and stretched out, as if I was on the
verge of collapsing, mentally and physically exhausted all the time. I was in
my final semester when everything changed in a second. Life stopped at a point
where I was lost and had no idea how life would work. I had high hopes for my
life; I was about to finish my studies and was looking forward to a life full
of wonder and a promising legal career.
Life after the pandemic
was a nightmare for everyone, sad and sacred at the same time. It was as if
life had been paused, everything had stopped, and we were in rest mode.
Everyone was locked up and isolated from the rest of the world.
Fortunately, I returned
home to Ladakh, which is very close to nature. I began to think, "Things
aren't so bad; I'm fortunate enough to see a beautiful sunrise and sunset every
day." This would give me something to look forward to every day, as well
as a project to keep myself occupied and remind me that life isn't so bad.
A sunset for me is a way
of connecting with a deeper part of myself, as well as with how awesome and
amazing our world is! The vibrant colors, combined with the soothing stillness
of the surrounding sky, create an image that shines beauty on everything it
comes into contact with. And as the day fades into night, there's something
very soothing about the setting sun. As I take it all in, mesmerised by its
beauty, I'm reminded of how fortunate we are to live in such a wonderful world.
