If they're headed for an educational facility with excellent teachers and a wide variety of extracurricular classes but it requires them to travel far every day, then they might be missing out if you move somewhere closer or even just find something better suited to their abilities. Will moving bring them into contact with other students who are more academically gifted? Will they be able to take part in more activities than they can at the moment because it's too inconvenient for them to get to school? You might be surprised how much better your kids could do with a longer commute and some people think that their lives will improve if they have a car or are given one, so this gives you another reason why having a commute couldn't turn out worse.

4. Choosing not to move could offer financial benefits in other ways. If you're thinking about moving because of a good deal on house prices, then maybe there are ways you can cut back on costs without upending your whole life. Maybe you just need to find cheaper car insurance, or perhaps you could save some money on gas by cutting out the needless trips you make every day. You could also pay for a gym membership and do your workouts at home instead of wasting time traveling to classes. These are just a few examples of how you might be able to trim your spending without moving, but it's up to you whether it would be easier or not to save in other ways than packing up to move and try somewhere new.
