Bathroom should be hygienic to maintain the cleanliness at home and surroundings positive. Here are few steps to keep your bathroom clean and hygienic.
Forget about buying "miracle"
products and following complicated cleaning instructions. Add 3 tablespoons
baking soda and ½ cup of household ammonia with two cups of warm water. Bathroom
surfaces will shine after you've wiped the solution on and rinsed it off with a
sponge or rag.
Cleaning the toilet becomes out of one of
those household chores that a person doesn’t want to do but at the end it’s the
job you have to do. Here are a few tips for making the job easier while saving
money on specialty cleaners.
• Antacid Tablets: Dissolve 2 tablets of antacid or add a
denture tablet that contains baking soda and leave it for 20 minutes before
scrubbing it with a toilet brush. A vitamin C tablet will suffice as well.
• Mouthwash: Take a bottle of mouthwash from the medicine
cabinet and pour 14 cup into the mixing bowl. After about 30 minutes, scrub the
toilet bowl with a toilet brush and flush.
• Cola: Pour a can of cola into the bowl and leave it
there for 30-60 minutes before scrubbing and flushing.
Mildew thrives in the moist environment
of a bathroom, so don't be surprised if it appears on your shower curtain. By
soaking curtains and liners in salt water before hanging them, you can keep it
at bay for a while. When they're up and any mildew appears, do the following:
• To the affected areas use ½ cup borax
and ½ cup of vinegar.
• Make spray of vinegar in the bottle and
use it to clean the stains and tiles.
• Make a vinegar-salt paste and apply it
to the mildewed area. Allow it to dry for one to two hours before wiping it
down with a damp cloth.
These seemingly innocuous bathroom habits may
have an impact on your health and hygiene.
You're probably so preoccupied with cleaning
your bathroom's fixtures and tiles that you don't even consider the ceiling.
Look up, but be prepared to see mildew, spots, and built-up grime. Fill a mop
bucket with equal parts water and white vinegar to easily clean it. Then put on
goggles or other eye protection. Use a sponge mop dipped with a long handle
into a solution, squeeze it out and then clean the section.
Find out which areas of your home should
never be overlooked when spring cleaning.
The grouting between bathroom tiles attracts
dirt and germs, and it's easy to overlook these difficult-to-reach crevices
during routine cleaning. It also looks bad every now and then:
• Use old tooth brush to remove the stains
near sink and taps.
• Use pencil eraser to clean the grime of the
bathroom places.
• Scrub with a tooth-whitening mouthwash.
• To bleach through household ways place it
on the spot of badly stained worktops for a few hours.
Toilet
cleaner with lemon flavour
To clean a stained toilet bowl, make a
paste of two to three parts borax and one part lemon juice (stir the juice in
gradually until you have the right consistency). Allow it to sit for 1 1/2-2
hours before
scrubbing with a toilet brush. This treatment is particularly
effective for removing the ring that frequently appears at the water level on
the toilet bowl.
Remove
obstinate scum and water spots
Many of the surfaces of washroom like
ceramic tiles, around the sinks, tubs or buckets and these can be dulled by
using mild acid and other bathroom cleaners. Take on these heavily soiled
surfaces with zeal and...
• dissolve 2 cups salt in 4 litres of water.
• 12 cup vinegar, 1 cup ammonia, and 14 cup
baking soda dissolved in 4 litres warm water. Apply one of the solutions, wait
about 15 minutes, then scrub and rinse.
Remove
rust stains with a brush
Squeeze the toothpaste over an old toothbrush
and scrub it away at the stains of rust. Use borax-lemon juice paste or a
solution of equal parts turpentine and salt and scrub the stain. Whatever
method you use, attack rust stains as soon as possible. The sooner you deal
with them, the easier it is to get rid of them.
Keep
showerheads free of clogs.
If you live in a hard water area, you've
probably noticed how mineral deposits can clog showerheads. You don't need to
replace it; simply unclog it with denture tablets or vinegar.
If
you can remove the showerhead, soak it in a bowl of water with four to five
denture tablets. Alternatively, soak it in white vinegar overnight. (If you
want more cleaning power, warm the vinegar in the microwave first.)
•
If you are unable to remove the shower or it is not able
to be detached, use vinegar to clean it. Place vinegar in a bag and keep that
bag to the fixture by tying it around.
Clean out the holes with a needle, piece of
wire, or toothpick to ensure the showerhead is completely unblocked. Then,
using a cloth dipped in vinegar, wipe the head.
Make
your glass shower doors shine
Clean the glass doors with soap scum and foam. The
following for some heavy-duty cleaning:
Make use of shaving cream while clean the glasses
from fogging.
White vinegar: Use white vinegar to clean the
places using scrub and sponge.

and baking soda all these three things can be used to make a solution. Wash the
