Handrails can reduce serious injuries and fatalities by up to 78 percent. However, handrails alone are not enough. Just like the all-important ‘eyes’ in a ship’s rigging, any work requiring elevated access must be designed with a fall protection system included from the outset. The Clamp System was designed with this in mind and our modular handrail attachments can be used to provide fall protection and prevent accidents on roofs and building sites across Australia and New Zealand.
The Clamp System handrail accessory attachment is an ideal solution for use on elevated platforms that do not require a complete guard rail system. The modular system is capable of providing fall protection for up to 200mm, and can be used on both flat and sloped surfaces. The Clamp System clamping system features a high tensile carbon steel clamp with an Ergal safety knuckle that does not cause permanent damage to the surface upon which the attachment is fitted.Â
You can find quality handrails at Fencing store. Other features of the Clamp System include:Â
- Easy installation with no need for any site preparation.Â
- Durable, robust design with an ergonomic design to reduce wrist strain.Â
- Modify your existing handrail system to provide crash protection or increase action radius using our patent pending adjustable slider rail accessory.Â
- Available in handrail accessory black or galvanised finish to suit your environment.Â
- Safety knuckle design helps prevent injury in the event of impact.Â
- A range of applications including handrails, guard rails, stairways, runways and work platforms.
The Clamp System components are manufactured using high tensile steel grade 500L and meet or exceed all AS3959 Safety Requirements. The Clamp System can be attached to flat surfaces with zero tolerance for movement along the length of the guard rail. The system is also capable of providing up to 200mm can be provided on sloped surfaces, with a maximum slope of 10 degrees.

This Air conditioning unit is accessible from multiple locations, both inside and outside the building. The building is only seven years old with a life span of up to 30 years! The handrail provides added safety for ladder use by the maintenance technicians.Â
The anodized aluminium clamps were chosen because of its ability to resist corrosion when in contact with mortar, concrete and grout when applied after installation of the air conditioner. Stainless steel clamps are also available if required.
